Christmas Morning, Part 3

The third part of our Christmas day is spent at my parents house.  We go to Grammie and Papa's to open gifts with them and Uncle Doug and Aunt Riss.  Nan was also there to watch - her presents come in part 4.  I didn't have a chance to get a picture of what Santa brought for the boys before they got ahold of them.  Santa brought them each a Big Wheels bike to keep at Grammie and Papa's house.  They loved them and the rest of their gifts. . .

Oh, my sweet Aidan . . .

Rosco enjoyed the day too

And yes, it was actually a cold and rainy Christmas for AZ!

And windy too . . .

Christmas Morning, Part 2

Part 2 of our Christmas morning includes Gramps, Farmor, Aunt Jamie and Uncle Travis coming to our house to open gifts.  We have homemade cinnamon rolls and enjoy each others company.

I can't remember what was making Jacob laugh, I still thought this picture was cute

The boys LOVE playing with Uncle Travis.
Although, Aidan looks a bit mischievous in this picture.  I hope Uncle T was ready!
Jacob was having a blast!

LOVE that laugh!!

Christmas Morning, Part 1

We began our Christmas morning at home, watching the boys enjoy their gifts from Santa and Mommy and Daddy.  It was an entertaining morning.  All we should have gotten Aidan was food.  Yes, food.  We would ask him if he wanted to open any presents and he would say no, "want fruit bar" or "want cinnamon roll" or "want cheerios".  He definitely had food on the brain.  It was pretty funny.

On their way out to check out their loot.

Somehow I get the feeling Aidan might feel like he got jipped with the tooth brsuh . . .

The boys also got Dr. Seuss books from us too.

Christmas Eve

Each Christmas Eve we go over to Gramps and Farmor's house for dinner, then go to church and then end up back at our house to open gifts from Grandmom Thomas and Grandpa Bill Liljegren (who lives in Turlock, CA and we wish he could be here to see the boys).  I just realized I don't have any pictures while at Gramps and Farmors for dinner - just before and after.

Attempts at getting a picture of the boys together typically end up looking something like this.

We are finally at a an age where at least Jacob has begun to understand the concept of some games.  It's really fun!

I am SO behind on posting Christmas pictures!!  I have done three posts this morning and hopefully will do more later today or tomorrow.  SO, there will be a plethora of pictures to wade through.  I won't be offended if you skip it all!  Enjoy the first batch below, if you want too. :-)

Decorating our Christmas Tree

Here we are decorating our Christmas trees.  We have one real one for most of Cody and mine's ornaments and then during last years after Christmas sales, I bought a smaller one for the boys to decorate with all of their ornaments.  Again, it's so much fun to see the boys actually get into it and get excited about the lights and all.

Daddy and his boys decorating the tree

Yes, you should be hearing an evil little laugh coming from this picture.  Aidan had more fun putting ornaments in the tree water than on the actual tree.

Decorating the little tree was more Aidan's style

Zoo Lights

Another fun family tradition that we do is to go to The Phoenix Zoo for their Zoo Lights.  We typically have a great group of family and friends and have a blast!  It's fun as the boys get older and actually get excited about seeing the lights.

Decorating Grammie and Papa's tree

I have LOTS of catching up to do . . . this will be the first of many Christmas posts.  From December 12 . . .

Every year we go to the Davis side and help decorate my parents tree.  It's a fun tradition.  And it's always entertaining, whether it be the little boys making us laugh or the big boys making us groan.  Although this year, the big boys seemed to be on better behavior. :-)

Aidan and Pooh, just chillin' waiting for the go ahead to decorate.

"Just take the stinking picture so I can get back to decorating and quit asking me to smile!"

Many of the ornaments ended up on the same branch.  I thought it was cute.

The Arrival of Number 3 will be . . .

As most of you know, I have to have C-Sections when I deliver.  Jacob ended up C-section after 12 or so hours of labor and Aidan was an emergency C-section because of the cholestasis.  At certain times, it has been hard for me to accept that I will not be able to have a vaginal delivery.  But I know what's most important in the end is a healthy baby and healthy mama.  And I trust my doctor when he says I would not be a good candidate at this point for a VBAC.  That being said, one plus to having a C-section, is that I know exactly what date our little man will make his appearance!  The date and time has been set, barring no other issues, health or scheduling wise, he will arrive on February 4, 2009.  The section is scheduled for 11:30am.  It's getting close, but at the same time, it feels so far away!  We are getting very eager to meet him.  Please keep this date in your thoughts and prayers.  Thanks!!

Last Wednesday and Friday we had the awesome privilege to hang out with some great friends from Boston.  Amy and her girls, Heidi and Shiloh came into to town for a family obligation and were able to squeeze us in, not once, but twice!!  (It may have been more, but my boys came down with a nasty stomach bug :-( )  We met and had a picnic lunch at the railroad park and met up with her entire family at the zoo.  Amy and I were also able to squeeze in some "no kid" time to actually catch up.  I love our times together, with and with out the kids.  Thanks Amy!  Everyone really enjoyed seeing each other and we wish we could see them more!
*Matt, we missed seeing you!!

"So, you come here often?"

"Dude, she's with me - step back"

Amy's father-in-law and good friend of ours, Paul Ulrickson, was also in town and able to join us at the zoo.  He walked just the right pace for the boys - fast.
